I have gone through a major transformation. It began around two and half years ago and it has been profound. Just three years ago I walked into my doctor’s office for my physical and he sighed, “you have to lose weight”. Of course I knew that, but he was compelled to tell me because my blood work results on the chart that he was staring at were displaying borderline signs of the typical American male in his fifties – overweight, high cholesterol, high triglycerides, and all of the markers of a long, slow decay. He sees it all of the time. His first thoughts were to put me on a collection of pharmaceuticals. To avoid that slow death, I knew I had to do something more than the ineffectual starvation type of diet, so I began to look around for a solution.
