Lead Conversion

1. You must have left your phone number for a reason — If a prospect puts a phone number into your capture box – call them! Yes, right away. Especially if the phone number was optional. Anybody who puts their real phone number into a capture box is begging for a call! Now, don’t put the hard close on them right away. You still have to build a relationship with them. Say something like, “I noticed that you put your phone number into the “work with me” box on my blog. I wanted to thank you for reaching out for more information and wanted to introduce myself to you. Did you have any questions at this point?” Obviously if they want to buy – sell them! But if you don’t hear a lot of questions or strong buying signals then back off and let them continue on through the next steps in your system.
2. If they call you, you’ve got a hot lead — If they call you, take their call seriously. This is a great lead! At least you have to assume that it is. I recently called an online marketer who has been posting a lot of articles on Linked In. I called him at night and told him that I had written some books and had an email list of over 10,000 network-marketers. I said that I didn’t have time to talk but asked him to call me the next day about some questions that I had and gave him my private cell number. He never called me! What’s the purpose of posting articles everywhere, getting people to call you and then…not talking to them? If someone calls you as a result of your articles, take their call! Convert and Close them!
3. Find out why they were inquiring – There is a question that should be uppermost in your mind when you are calling a lead and that is: “Why did they put their information into your lead capture system in the first place?” After introducing yourself your next move might sound like this, “Thanks, for responding to my ad and downloading the free e-book. Was there something about the ad that made you want the e-book and the information?” The answer to this question will point you in the direction that you need to go in order to sell them.

Converting your leads into first level customers is the entire purpose of all your studying of online marketing and all of you Pay Per Click and Social Media marketing. Take Lead Conversion and Closing very seriously. It is the payoff for all of your hard work that you put in generating your leads online.

If one decision could change your life beyond your wildest dreams, would you make it?

When I began in MLM under the leadership of Drew Berman and was at ground zero on learning about network marketing, Drew strongly recommended that I start by viewing Mike Dillard’s 7-Video Series on Attraction Marketing…and so I did. Though this is not a perspective of a company in the MLM space, my MLM Review of this fantastic tool set follows.

Mike Dillard is an expert in direct marketing and MLM training who runs a multi-million dollar business by implementing what he refers to as Magnetic Sponsoring techniques.

His main philosophy is that the “old school” of sponsoring/recruiting, such as creating a list of friends and family and cold calling prospects, are no longer effective and should be replaced with the “new school” techniques which take advantage of what the internet world has to offer. I found that each video left me with a sense of eagerness and anticipation for the next one. On average each video was 8 minutes long. I’ll let you in on a secret. Network Marketing is not a scheme. It’s not an industry. It’s not a business. It’s a powerful mirror.

So many people misunderstand MLM and so many fail at it because they don’t allow themselves to look directly into the mirror.

Does this sound strange? Well, read on. I’ll describe two scenarios that will make it “un-strange.”

You join MLM with hope and a big dream. You believe you can achieve enormous success like the leaders in your company. You charge into the game with enthusiasm. But wait a minute. No one wants to enroll. No one wants to get rich. No one wants to be free. At least, that’s how it seems to you.

“What do you mean, seems?” you’re thinking. “This ain’t seems. This is real.”

No-no-no. It’s not real. Yes, it is happening to you. But it’s just a reflection from the mirror. This may be a hard pill to swallow, but you are attracting people who say no. Let’s face it. Others in your company are enrolling people with ease. I guess they’re just lucky or more talented than you. NOT!

Your subconscious beliefs, doubts, fears, and your mind chatter are manifesting in the form of people who reject your products, services, and opportunity. You are being tested. The mirror is challenging you to discover what you’re made of.

A lot of people run for cover at this point. They bail. Their story becomes “MLM is too hard. It doesn’t work.” They attract many others who feel the same. That reinforces their story.

The second scenario begins differently. In this movie, people say yes to you. They enroll – sometimes many of them. But then, wait another minute. They begin to drop out like flies. Some joined like gangbusters. Suddenly, they disappear and won’t even return your calls.

This is when a lot more people run for cover and bail. Their story becomes “MLM doesn’t work because you can’t rely on anyone.” And guess what? Right. They meet and attract others who feel exactly like they do. They stick to their story, find comfort in their JOB, and go through life praying for Friday to arrive.

What becomes of the few who don’t run for cover? They calmly look at their results. They take full responsibility for what’s happening. They stand tall and gaze directly into the mirror. They don’t shrink from what they see. They don’t deny it or judge it harshly. They embrace it.

Then they take MASSIVE ACTION to change it. They get proper training on how to talk to people. They acquire the language of attraction. They invest in personal development and commit to it on a daily basis. They read books on MLM and master its principles of success.

Their story becomes, “Network Marketing is the most wonderful industry in the world of free enterprise.” They meet and attract like minded people. They support one another and grow together. Soon, their earnings exceed their expenses. Then, money begins to flow into their lives from a fountain that becomes a waterfall.

Their belief strengthens. Their minds tune into a different channel where they no longer hear the naysayers. The painful sound of the word, “NO,” transforms to the steady whisper of the word, “YES!”

They live into a new permanent story entitled, “DREAMS COME TRUE!”
