My mom once told me, “People only get really mad when you say something that they know is true”. That was true when she would ask me things like, “Why did you let someone else ride your motorcycle after I said not to”. I would fly off the handle and lash back, “Why don’t you ever trust me.” Why? Because she drove by the trail and saw some kid, who was not me, on my bike! In my last post I quoted Donald Trump. Many people don’t like Donald Trump. Many people will blurt out cursory statements like, “Take advice from Donald Trump? He’s broke” Ummmm, broke people don’t get from point A to point B via a black helicopter with a TRUMP logo on the side of it!!! Case closed! That leads to the other 50% of the people who happen to respect what the man has been able to do – a few times – make money! This all leads to another BLURT/QUESTION/STATEMENT from many people who are uneducated in the field of network marketing…

(***whispering***) pssssttt… They call them themselves “skeptics” because it sounds smarter than “I don’t really know much about this stuff”

Is Network Marketing a pyramid scheme?

Listen, don’t take offense to that question. There are Pyramid Schemes out there so it’s a legit question. That’s a fact! Is Network Marketing one of them? Simply stated – no. Is a corporation a Pyramid Scheme? Ahh, let’s see… answer a question with a question: A corporation has a CEO at the top that makes the most money and, generally, everyone else is below the CEO and will never make nearly as much money. Is that a Pyramid Scheme? As the article states, “A true network marketing business is the exact opposite of a traditional business model”. That’s a very important statement so read it again. Focus on the last three words! If you’re in Network Marketing, you’re breaking tradition! You will get a lot of resistance from people who disguise themselves as skeptics. Many of those skeptics hold positions high on the corporate pyramid scheme. As Kiyosaki himself states, “My reply is that corporations are really pyramid schemes.”

Just like the New York Yankees did this year by abandoning the old Yankee stadium and beginning the season in their new stadium, stand behind your decision and go for it! Do all you can to learn the industry from top industry leaders. There will be many people who are against building new traditions in a new industry and there will be equally as many people who are all for it. Find those who are all for it and Play Ball!

Phew…

I took that quiz I mentioned in my last post and was relieved to find that I was in one of the quadrants! I also realized I’d spent a lot of time dreaming of being in another. The real relief and joy came from knowing that I was on the exact path I needed to be on to get to that dream life! While I had spent the majority of my adult working life as an employee, I desired to be an owner of my own big business. For most of my life, getting my own big business was only a dream because I didn’t have the time, money or resources to make it a reality. I was destined to be an employee forever. WRONG!!!

To own a big business was a dream – a vision – that Network Marketing turned into a reality.

As the article states and goes into further detail, a Network Marketing business meets several criteria of a big business. You MUST align with the right Network Marketing business and the Network Marketing team. I aligned with a company that educated me, helped with my personal development and drove me to work and go beyond my comfort zone. Network Marketing brought out the best in me so that I could teach others what I had learned. You need to find the right company that does that for you! As Donald Trump finishes, “My advice about network marketing is to do your research, and put everything you’ve got into your product. Genuine enthusiasm is hard to beat, and the odds will be with you.” Phew – I’m glad I found mine!!!

Questions…

Reading always raises questions for me: why didn’t school ever teach me stuff like Rich Dad’s CASHFLOW Quadrant? If you don’t already know what the CASHFLOW Quadrant is, then we need to talk. I’m not saying we need to talk if you need a career change. I’m not saying we need to talk if you’re already in Network Marketing and you’re looking into improving your business. What I am saying is that if you are a living, breathing, working human who does ANYTHING for time and money AND you’ve never heard of the CASHFLOW Quadrant or know what it means – then we need to talk!!!

We need to talk because your life and financial future depend on your financial existence! Once you know what your financial existence is, your life will absolutely change. If it doesn’t – then I was wrong. As long as you’re financially happy, whatever CASHFLOW Quadrant you’re in is perfect! If you’re not financially happy and are searching for a lot of help, this is the best place to start. IF you’re still not convinced this is for you, then answer this one question and if you’re answer is YES, contact me!

E – An Employee

S – A small business owner or self-employed specialist

B – A big business owner

Note that “an investor” does not mean holding 10 shares in ABC-Co; it denotes a much grander scale of investment…

Meet a Mompreneur!

This is Tammy Gruber – a great woman, an amazing mom, and a laser-focused business coach.   She just finished reading one of the best books on wealth and wealth creation ever written.  And now that she is a mompreneur – with a rock solid home-based business, she gets to apply what she is learning and finally jump out and win the money game.  I am so excited for Tammy and her family.  Here is a picture of Tammy and her son Daniel who happens to be one of the best BMX bike riders in his age group.

So, if there is one book in the entire universe that everyone should read YESTERDAY, it’s Rich Dad, Poor Dad by Robert T Kiyosaki.  Not only should you read and re-read it a few times, it is your obligation as a parent, friend, sibling, etc… to share it with everyone you love.  As a parent, if you do not share this book with your children you may be setting them up for financial failure!!!  They will learn more about life and money in this book than they will learn in any school or college.  So how many of you are financially where you want to be on a scale of 1-10 ,10 being the highest?  Come on, be 100% honest here.  If you are in a JOB (just over broke), then you fit into the poor and middle class work-for-money category.  If you are at a 10 or above on your financial scale, then you are rich, and you have your money work for you!  Hmmmmm, could you have hit me over the head with that about 20 years ago????  Shoulda, coulda, woulda…. WILL!!!!  I guess the saying “When the teacher appears, the student is ready” applies here and now.

One A-HA moment from this book:  a JOB is really a short-term solution to a long-term problem.  Most continue working for two reasons:  self inflicted fear and ignorance.  Learn to USE your emotions to THINK, not THINK with your emotions.  Opportunities are ALWAYS in front of you.  Most people never see opportunities because they are too busy looking for money and security, ultimately at a mediocre level at best.  Unfortunately, they get what they think is money and security but they never see the opportunity that could land them MONEY and SECURITY!  The moment you see ONE opportunity you will see them for the rest of your life!

As Robert Kiyosaki states in his book “Rich people aquire assets. The poor people aquire liabilites, but think they are assets.”   HMMMMM… Use your emotions to THINK about that for a minute or two.

My biggest A-HA:  avoidance.  I have kept myself soooo busy trying to avoid the reality of fianancial issues.  Kiyosaki calls it the most common form of “laziness”.  Laziness by staying busy…. HMMMMM.  Not any more, baby!  My busy, lazy schedule is now busy – asset aquiring, liability reducing busy!!!!

Oh yeah, you HAVE TO have a bigger reason than your current reality.  If not, don’t waste your lazy, busy self.  Time to buy the book and READ IT!!!
