Was Mike Dillard Unprepared?

Catchy title, but no. Unlike most of the speakers, Mike Dillard took the stage without a prepared presentation but he knew exactly what he was doing. He started by talking a bit about his down-to-earth, hold-nothing-back approach to writing copy for his ads and content. I have been on the receiving end of it and sometimes it can cause some raised eyebrows, but that is Mike’s point – to be real in this world. With that in mind, he proceeded to do something that I have never seen anyone in this industry do. He sat down on a stool with a microphone and invited the event participants to step up to mics and ask any question that they wanted answered.

Mike Dillard Totally Winging It?!

Again, following Mike Dillard‘s tutelage, this title engages YOU, the reader. Anyway, it is one thing to give a canned speech, with props or without, but to wing it in front of one thousand people, that was amazing. Yet, with his incredible way of thinking outside of normal boundaries, he came up with suggestions for people trying to build businesses that were extremely thought-provoking and could very well lead to new successes in fields that he, self-professed, knows nothing about. No wonder Mike Dillard is such a success in the Law of Attraction and bringing people to him for teaching, mentoring and learning life skills. So, when it comes to network marketing, or any marketing for that matter, the techniques that Mike Dillard teaches can help anyone who is open and ready.

As you may know, there is a mega marketing event coming up quickly. It’s in Las Vegas and it boasts the best of the best — 20 or so of them anyway — that the Network Marketing Industry has to offer today. In celebration of this event, we are putting together a write-up — an MLM review, if you will — of each of the speakers. We hope you thoroughly enjoy these perspectives. Mike Dillard was waiting tables when he decided there had to be a better way to build a future. He had thought about becoming a biologist when he started college until his partying took the life out of his college career, so he bagged that and changed to marketing. He knew from his early years in college, however, that he wanted to be an entrepreneur, not a corporate ladder-climber. His real education came through sitting in a well-known bookstore and studying the books there. He left college with a 2.0 average…just by the skin of his teeth. However, he knew more about marketing and the way to think for success than any of his school-mates.

Mike packed up and moved out west to work with an acquaintance who was in a very successful network marketing company. Then 9-11 happened and he turned around and went back to Texas for a J*O*B. It was at this new job that he learned how to make cold calls and work lists on the phone – a great skill for a network marketer-to-be to learn – but he hated it. From there he went into direct, door-to-door, corporate sales. Ouch! From these wonderful jobs he went to waiting tables while starting to build his MLM downline for his passive income business.

The Magnetic Sponsoring series began as a training manual for his MLM downline, which became more and more popular with leaders in other companies. Now it is a manifesto for success in the internet marketing world.

To summarize this MLM review, Mike Dillard is an engaging and very real person who learned by going through the grind and finding the steps it takes for success. He has gone on to create the Black Belt Recruiting series, the Traffic Formula series, and the What’s Working Now? series, among others and all are excellent resources.

The Magic of Manifesting Abundance through the Law of Attraction

Given the simplicity of this definition one would wonder why anyone couldn’t just manifest anything at anytime instantly into his or her life. Well, it’s not quite as “easy” as it sounds. Pursuing this principle requires focus, persistence, and practice. The single initial factor that makes it a little challenging is the first part of the definition above (and I will stick with the “simple” definition for added poignancy) – consistent and dominant thoughts.

Everyone in this world has (obviously) grown up based on the way they were raised. Most people, whether they are aware of it or not, have, during the course of their “growing up” and even into and through adulthood, formed very rigid and sometimes pre-programmed patterns of thought and consciousness. Mostly, we are creatures of habit, and thought patterns are no exception. Surely, we have both constructive and destructive thought patterns. Therefore, our initial task is to break or interrupt those destructive patterns and habits with the intent of creating new, more constructive ones. After all, manifesting abundance works both ways.

A classic and tragically trite example is the person who continues to meet the wrong significant other and who manages to always land failed relationships. This is a person who undoubtedly continues to tell the story of his or her woes to everyone with whom the subject comes up with and even to themselves, “why do I always date losers?” If you really consider the energy and the vibration brought about by the continuous repetition of this type of phrase (spoken or thought), you can start to see that there really is no way of allowing room for an “ideal” relationship to exist. What is it really that this person is attracting here?

Now let’s focus on attracting something positive and constructive. If you were to, say, make it a habit to continuously think and speak as if you have financial security, that there is an abundance of funds available and that every time you pay your bills you have money to spare to do with as you wish. I will admit that this can be a challenging feat, especially in times of economic hardship – but not at all impossible. If you were to be consistent and successful (and thorough) with these thoughts and words, you would leave no room in your life to allow poverty and financial hardship to manifest itself. When you get to the point where you are really starting to create consistent and powerful thoughts you can feel it physically, you can feel the conviction permeate your body, you can sense when you are “in the zone” and that is when I have found that things seem to start happening. Your vibration would be aligned with one of manifesting abundance, both financial and freedom – in fact, attracting those very things into manifestation in your physical world.

The simplicity in all this is that it can be applied to any area of life. It is not too late to break the habit of the masses. Just make a choice, stick with it (really stick with it) and let go and trust in the knowledge that the universe will give us what we are dominantly “asking” for…it always does!
