I’d like to share some millionaire secrets about how to celebrate success. It may or may not be well known that focusing on something has a way of manifesting more of that something. But what do most people seem to focus on? Do people usually celebrate success? Think about it. What do we hear about — around the water cooler, around the dinner table, or bellying up at a bar, to name just a few places. Right…negativity! In fact, you don’t have to look too far to find people actually competing to have a worse story than the one just told. “You think that was bad, wait until you hear this!”

Sure, misery loves company but, I tell you, it gets old and dull really quickly.

What if you focus on something positive???

That’s one of the key millionaire secrets we’ll discuss here!

But there is a whole lot more to this.

Author and one of Robert Kiyosaki‘s Rich Dad’s Advisors, Blair Singer wrote in his book, “Little Voice” Mastery, describing the notion of a Little Voice. “Everyone has a little voice.” And if you don’t think you have a Little Voice, Blair responds, “Your Little Voice is the one saying I don’t have a Little Voice.” The book is filled with millionaire secrets, including 21 specific techniques for Little Voice management.

Your Little Voice will play a little reverse psychology on you saying, “You don’t deserve kudos for that on-time job completion!” or “It’s no big deal.” Perhaps you’ll feel embarrassed about the celebration others create around a job well done or even go so far as to avoid praise altogether!

That is the wrong approach!

Psychologists have long known that the more senses you use to learn something, the more you internalize the experience, feeling, lesson, etc. Martin Seligman, esteemed author and director of the Positive Psychology Center at the University of Pennsylvania, after studying thousands of salespeople, professional athletes, leaders, parents, and children from a behavioral psychology perspective, found that how you handle success is as important as how you handle failure.

To Celebrate Success…

Blair Singer suggests that you need to create a verbal and physical gesture to anchor “wins” into the body. “Wins” can be anything — you arrived at work on time, you washed the dishes before being asked, you closed your first $1 million transaction — and it can even be “wins” from those around you — your son brought home an A on his essay, your friend’s baseball team won a game, your spouse landed a new account. It doesn’t matter as much who “won” as much as it is to create and repeatedly bring to the surface your feeling of being a winner!

As a verbal gesture, simply saying, “Yes!” aloud will do the trick. The more emotion and feeling that you put into it, the more effective it will be. The physical gesture can take many more personalized forms. Perhaps you’re a high-fiver, maybe you like to throw two fists into the air and bring them down as if you’re doing a chin-up, maybe it’s more like a one-handed version of that for you. It doesn’t matter. Make it physical and make it your own.

Celebrate success like this for every “win”, every success.

Then reverse the Little Voice and tell yourself that you did deserve that “win”, you do deserve the kudos, and why that is so. “I deserve to celebrate this success because I helped my son outline his essay.”

When put to the test, Little Voice management, as described above, tends to actually help people manifest more wins! That is the power and the end game we’re looking for!

These are millionaire secrets that cannot be denied. They work!

The final step is to tell yourself that the rest of your week is now going to be great — bring it up a notch. Let it cascade into all parts of your life! Why? Because it builds energy, hope, and confidence. Of course, if it starts going in a wrong direction, say STOP! You have to disrupt and reverse that normal pattern of raining on your own parade.

We’ve all experienced a point in life where we just tried too hard and the results were lousy. I remember classmates pulling all-nighters studying for a test only to get so completely exhausted they ultimately bombed the test. I also knew a guy who trained so hard for a race he wound up getting injured before he even got to the starting line!

Sometimes we learn from our mistakes, sometimes we don’t. Here’s a video where I hope to inspire you to put forth that perfect amount of effort in your business to become successful. Check it out!

To paraphrase Einstein, “things should be as simple as possible, but no simpler.” I think that applies here in that when you make things too difficult, they’re destined for failure or, at least, the risk of failure goes way up! I’m not here to argue risk theory but suffice it to say that simplicity will serve you well in your business and in becoming successful.

Now, truth be told, “simplicity” and “trying too hard” is subjective and based on one’s own perspective. What is simple to you may be entirely over the top to someone else. That’s OK. There is no need to impose your perspective on another nor compare another perspective to your own. Be your own best judge and leave it at that. Anything else simply decreases your chances of success.

To be fair, not everything is easy and complexity will find its way into matters from time to time. Get help. Break it down. Simplify. Find the best solution. Proceed.

So, before you crank up some convoluted plan for Google domination or pull together a team of highly-trained, keyboard-punching hamsters to post classified advertisements, take a step back, look at the big picture, find your simplicity, and stop trying so hard. After all, if your concoction is so complex and you never actually get to the starting line, how are you going to win the race?

Here’s another installment from the School of the Millionaire Mindset! You see, we face a number of situations, obstacles, and circumstances in life. It’s difficult to say whether one is easier to focus on than another. Certainly, there is more drama focusing on a hardship than a success. At the same time, there is usually a great story behind a challenge and a corresponding triumph. Check out this great video, inspired by a conversation with my father, Gary Berman, where I describe the millionaire mindset of seeing that that which you focus on.

From a millionaire mindset, maintaining focus on that which you desire will help ensure that you attain exactly that. Accordingly, focusing on negative elements in life will get you more of the same. What would you prefer?

So why is it so difficult to focus on the positive, feed and nurture that which we want to grow, and support and build positivity? Please comment below. Fact of the matter is that it, simply put, isn’t. It isn’t difficult to accentuate the positive or to feed and nurture the great things in life!

Sure, not all things are great. Undoubtedly, in just about everyone’s life, there has been hardship. Life is not all roses. But when you lay your head down at night, where ever you do so, focus on the positive in every situation, and SEE what you’re focusing on.

I pulled this video from the depths of my video library of millionaire secrets. It was from my December vacation to Disney in Florida. My family and I had such a great time! One of the places we visited was the animal kingdom and it reminded me of a blog post about animal personalities that we exhibit as humans. Enjoy the quick intro and then read on!

But there’s more to it than that…!

As you can see, some folks characterize human personalities with animals. Other people use colors. Yep, do some research. There are numerous personality color tests out there – and they don’t even use all of the same colors and/or the colors don’t always mean the same thing. Plus, each of us can be categorized in one way or another as well! Actually, it doesn’t really matter.

The magic here – what matters the most – is finding what people best relate to. Whether labeled as a lion or red, are you dealing with a leader? Is the person you’re trying to communicate with the life of the party – like a monkey – or blue – or gold – or whatever – and make emotional decisions? Or is the person you’re talking with an owl, green, analytical and will want to research the facts until the cows come home?

One of the MLM secrets I can give you today that will hopefully stay with you for the rest of your life is that you need to deal with folks on their level, not yours. And you need to identify this so-called level quickly in the conversation. Once identified, you’ll know exactly how to work the conversation so that your counterpart gets what they need in the manner they need it. Building the relationship in this way creates trust and friendship. Without this, you will have no MLM business. Master it and the sky is the limit!!!

In order to build your business, you need to do this one simple thing. That is, unfortunately, where the simplicity ends. You see, there are a TON of ways to implement this one simple thing. To make matters more challenging, there are just as many folks out there ready and willing to show you how. Yeah, you guessed it, not everyone is as experienced as the next. Did you get that, folks? Yeah, so simple, anyone can start and run a business, right? So why don’t they? Well, it’s not as easy as it sounds.
